Today I’m wearing a choker necklace that I made from a vintage flower brooch.
To create the choker I took a black velvet choker (seen in my previous post) and pinned a large vintage brooch in the center. You can create the same look using any brooch and a simple piece of elastic velvet ribbon from a craft store. Just make sure that the velvet is elastic, otherwise it will either have to be tied really tight or it will be too loose around the neck. This idea came from a SITC episode in which Carrie wears a large flower choker. Of course she paired it with an over the top outfit, but for my everyday look I chose to wear a black puffy sleeve top and jeans. And since it is so cold and windy today (hence the looks on my face in the outside photos) I added a thick wool cardigan on top. What do you think of this outfit? Do you like the flower choker look? Would you wear a large choker necklace?

DeleteI don't think I´d pull off a choker as big. Or as flowery. I know it is on trend, but not for me, I guess.

I think it would look beautiful on you, though I wouldn't want your new little one to grab it thinking it was a pretty flower, haha. I hope you are both doing wonderful :)

I'm not a necklace person but more of earrings and bracelets. The only necklace that I wear is a platinum one given to me by my parents when I turned 21. That doesn't stop me from admiring others whenever they wear statement necklaces or chokers. xx
