Cuffed Raw Hem

I was never a huge fan of cuffed hems until now.  I’ve experimented with cuffing skinny jeans and making smaller cuffs, but until I made this larger cuff with the raw hem I was never too satisfied with the outcome.  I just love the hem of these straight leg jeans cuffed.

These are old BCBG jeans which I’ve had for years.  I cut off the bottoms way before raw hems were in style and decided not to tailor them since they were just to wear around the house.  Now they’ve become one of my favorite go to pairs.  As with the jeans, everything in this post is very vintage.  To me vintage items have a certain charm that can bring life to an outfit :)

    I only do this for practical reasons, like standing on the muddy playground with a fresh pair of jeans, and only recently did it on purpose when I wore a pair of skinnies with boots. Not too sure if it is to my liking or not.

      haha. I can just imagine the muddy playground scenario. And I'm not sure about the skinnies cuffed either, though I was surprised that I like these raw hems cuffed. My husb even thought these were "okay," and he is usually very conservative.

    I LOVE that jacket! It's so gorgeous! The colours and the cut are so lovely :) I always see people with cuffed jeans and think that it looks nice, but I don't see it happening on me. When I find jeans that have legs long enough for me I will embrace that for as long as I can, haha! But, if it were a pair of jeans that had more beat up hems anyway, I would definitely consider cuffing them!

      You are so lucky to have long legs! All my jeans need to be hemmed, so cutting them and/or cuffing them is my easy way out, haha.
